| Salute | To salute with the left hand, move your hand up to the side of the head on the anacrusis of the music, sweep it back over the head in a circular motion on the first strong beat of the music, then down and out to the left, and finish with a sweep across the body from left to right a little above waist height on the second strong beat. Bow a little as you sweep your hand across your body.
Salutes are almost always performed in pairs, left hand and then right. Usually the salute is performed standing still, but in "Glorishears" salutes are performed while walking. |
